We teach you how to make TV.
Then, use our eqipment to produce a show.
Finally we air it on HMS TV, Houston’s Public Access TV station.
It’s easy to start. Follow these 3 steps.
Come to a FREE Orientation. This is a 30-45 minute informational session. All of your questions will be answered at Orientation. We have Orientations every Monday night at 6pm sharp. (excluding holidays) HMS is located at 2302 Texas Ave. Downtown Houston, at the corner of Houston and Bastrop. Park in the back lot on Capitol St. Click here for google map directions
Pay applicable producer fees. Your yearly producer fee covers administration costs, producer events, mailings, and special station events. Click here to download the Producer Fees form.
Register and take Media Literacy Class. Media Lit is a two hour class offered at least twice a month. The class helps you transition from home video maker, to television producer. We teach you audience analysis, thematic techniques, preproduction, live show production, and cover HMS TV contract and content rules. Click here for the next Media Lit class.
